Frequently Asked Questions What is National Theater Live? National Theatre Live is the British National Theatre’s groundbreaking project to broadcast British theatre from the London stage to cinemas across the UK and around the world. The plays are pre-filmed in front of a live audience and edited for theatrical distribution. Learn more here. When should I show up? We recommend showing up 30 min ahead of time to find parking and make sure you can get any food or drink before the movie starts. However, we highly encourage attendees to show up an hour in advance for a preshow lobby mingle. Are these live performances? These are pre-recorded versions of live performances, shown on our screen like a standard movie. Where are these showings? All National Theatre Live showings will be in our 55-capacity Tiki Lounge, the most vibrant of our theaters. We chose this theater to create an intimate and lively atmosphere for attendees. Our Tiki Lounge is assigned seating - you can choose your seat(s) when you purchase tickets. Should I buy tickets in advance? We will be selling tickets at the door but we are expecting these showings to sell out! Buying in advance allows you to select your seat, secures your spot, and gives us the ability to email you with any last-minute pertinent information. Where do I purchase tickets or check in? Purchase or check in at the bar inside The Lyric lobby. What if I need to cancel my ticket? The Lyric does not refund tickets but can transfer them to another showing - email mail@lyriccinema.com if you need to transfer. Is there a bulk discount? The Lyric's $24/month membership (discounts for students, seniors, and additional members on the same account) gets you $10 off of all tickets and $1 of all concessions! For these $12 matinee screenings, members get in for free. Can I bring my own concessions? The Lyric has a full bar and kitchen onsite, absolutely no outside food/drink/popcorn/candy allowed. If you bring outside alcohol, it will be confiscated and you will be immediately asked to leave. Where can I park? If the Lyric parking lot is full (which it probably is), the best places to park are Hickory or Conifer Street, located to the immediate north of the Lyric. Absolutely NO parking in The Lyric’s employee lot to the west of the outdoor screen - we will tow. Check out a parking map and see our full policies here. Will there be additional screenings? This is The Lyric’s first time doing a series like this, so adding additional showtimes will be based on interest and schedule. These add-on screenings will typically be announced the week of, on The Lyric's Instagram and Facebook pages. As always, refer to our website for ticket links and showtimes for all things Lyric.
