Where are these screenings?

They are outside on the lovely Lyric lawn at 1209 N College Avenue, Fort Collins Colorado. This is not a drive-in movie theater - attendees are seated on grass/chairs so plan appropriately.

Do I need to bring my own chair?

There are a handful of chairs in the lawn for use but bringing your own lawn chair or blanket is recommended.

Should I buy tickets in advance?

We will be selling tickets at the door but some of these showings may sell out! Buying in advance secures your spot, allows us to staff appropriately, and gives us the ability to email you with any last-minute pertinent information. Tickets for all outdoor screenings are available at lyriccinema.com/outdoor-movies

Where do I purchase tickets or check in?

There will be a door person and ticket booth next to the Lyric parking lot. Please check in to purchase tickets or show your prepurchased ticket and receive a wristband.

What if I need to cancel my ticket?

The Lyric does not refund tickets but can transfer them to another showing - email mail@lyriccinema.com if you need to transfer.

Are these rain or shine?

It takes a decent amount of rain for us to cancel an outdoor movie so dress for any inclement weather. Occasionally we have theater space to be able to move the screening inside but not always. If you buy tickets in advance, we can email with any weather-related updates. We will prioritize potential indoor seating by order of ticket purchase dates so snag those tickets now!

Do I need to bring my own FM radio?

Nope, we have an outdoor sound system that comfortably fills the space. If you find yourself in a spot on the lawn where this is not the case, our bar has portable FM radios available for use.

Do you have popcorn?

You bet we do.

Can I bring my dog?

No pets are allowed onsite (except for service animals). We very occasionally have events that are dog-friendly - this designation will be listed in the movie/event description.

Are these showings all ages?

We are an all-ages venue unless otherwise noted on an event. Note that some of our outdoor movies are R-rated (under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian).

Is there a bulk discount?

The Lyric's $30/month membership (discounts for students, seniors, and additional members on the same account) gets you into these for free with tons of other perks!

Can I bring my own concessions?

The Lyric has a full bar and kitchen onsite, absolutely no outside food/drink/popcorn/candy allowed. If you bring outside alcohol, it will be confiscated and you will be immediately asked to leave.

When should I show up?

For outdoor screenings, we recommend showing up 30-60 min ahead of time to find parking, secure a spot on the lawn, and make sure you can get any food or drink before the movie starts. We're working on potential programming before these screenings to give attendees a full evening out, follow @thelyriccinema on Instagram for announcements!

Where can I park?

If the Lyric parking lot is full (which it probably is), the best places to park are Hickory or Conifer Street, located to the immediate north of the Lyric. Absolutely NO parking in The Lyric’s employee lot to the west of the outdoor screen - we will tow. Check out a parking map and see our full policies here.

What's this I saw on socials about dressing up as a character from the movie for a popcorn discount?

Exactly that. Dress up as a character from the movie, get $1 off of any size popcorn at the discretion of the bartenders (y'know, at least try a little bit with the costume). This discount does stack with our $1 off membership discount for all concessions!

PLEASE NOTE: This promotion does not apply to Twilight for reasons outside of our control - we cannot actively encourage guests to dress up for Twilight screenings.

Will there be more than one screening of these movies?

Occasionally yes when schedule allows (if we do, they will likely be weekend matinee or weekday showings). These add-on screenings will typically be announced the week of, on The Lyric's Instagram and Facebook pages.  As always, refer to our website for ticket links and showtimes for all things Lyric.

Pro tip: use the magnifying glass search icon in the upper right hand corner of the website to search keywords on any movie title, band, event, etc.
